A 1978 Washburn Model M4S F Style Mandolin with original Hardshell Case and Strap......its an old timer...No body or neck cracks..Just a couple dings and scratches and alot of honest player wear.....

This is the first year of these Made in Japan Mandolins. The M4S stands for solid wood. No laminates here.

This Washburn Mandolin plays great with easy playing action.....My tech went over this one completely..He did a great job and set it up perfectly with new strings...It barks and sounds great...the strings are as close to the fingerboard as we could get them...it plays great with no sore fingers...very easy playing action......Original Gold Tuners, Nut, Bridge, Tailpiece, Frets, Case and Strap...WOW...Nothing that we could find was not original except the changed strings.

Washburn Mandolin Serial Numbers Dating

The pics do not do this beautiful Mandolin justice...The color is just wonderful...The sound is so pure. Nice woody but very loud voice. Much more mellow than a lot of Mandolins I have played. I have seen these go for around $1000 so this one is a bargain. Grab it quick!
